Hi, I'm Aimee! I'm a wife, mother to an angel baby and one earthside baby, social worker, and professionally trained doula serving Rochester, MN. I love all things health and wellness, including crossfit, nutrition, and womens health. In my free time I also love being creative through painting and drawing. 
Iris Birth Co. came about after I went through miscarrying our first baby and then getting pregnant with our rainbow baby. Iris means "rainbow" in Greek. When thinking about what to name my birth business, it felt like the best way to honor such an influential season and reason why I decided to pursue birth work.
I completed my doula training through a certified DONA training course to become a professionally trained doula in January of 2024. I have learned a lot through attending births at both Mayo Clinic and Olmsted Medical Center, as well as having a home water birth myself. I have thoroughly enjoyed working with expecting moms and families!
Towards the end of 2024 I also started doing birth photography! It has really added a piece that I felt was missing from my role in the birth world. 

I believe birth is one of the most profound and influential experiences in life! I believe that birth can be beautiful, peaceful and powerful. Your experience does not need to look how society often depicts it to be. I am here to empower you in making the right decisions for you and your baby and having the best labor and delivery possible!
